ONE Harvest
The harvest is everywhere. The workers are us.
Jesus says: “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” — Luke 10:2 NIV
This message opens the series by changing the way we see our city. We tend to see coworkers, neighbors, customers, classmates, waiters, teachers, mechanics, parents, strangers. Jesus sees a harvest. There are people all around us whom God loves and in whom God may already be working.
But Jesus' solution to the harvest isn't primarily another church program. He sends people.
That gives you a powerful tension: we often pray, “God, reach our city.” Jesus responds, “Go. I'm sending you.”
This connects beautifully with the Foundry's ONE language. Your ONE isn't necessarily someone you have to manufacture a spiritual conversation with. Start by asking God to help you see the people He has already placed in your field.
